I am a fan of TLC’s Extreme Couponing, a reality television show about men and women who work so well with coupons that they get away with groceries and all other items for a meager amount or even for free. If one is even more lucky, he or she can even get money as change, in cases where the coupon’s worth is more than how much was purchased. I see people on television going through stacks and piles of news papers with coupon inserts, just about everywhere, including neighbor’s garbage bins. More if they have their in-store discount cards as well as Military discounts and many others that can make the prices of commodities go down.

So what happens? Extreme couponers have a huge stash of items in their homes, they need not buy anything for a couple of months, even years. And that’s for as long as the products have not expired yet. There’s the store discount as well as the manufacturer’s discount that also helps make the prices go down.

Oh I love that part where an extreme couponer reached three thousand dollars, and after using all his coupons and discount cards, have been able to make the price go negative. By negative, we mean that the coupons’ cost is much more than how much was punched. In the end, the couponer even gets bills and loosed change after making a free purchase. Can you believe that? Another one would be that part when a grand daughter is helping out her grand mother to make free purchases, and her grandma was able to experience it with the awakened desire to do the same.

Anyway, it may sound unreal at first, but somehow, over the course of time, I have managed to understand the motivations behind each extreme couponing strategy that each extreme couponer have evaluated and tested in their desire to have lots of goods for them and their families.
