Treating Yourself While Staying in Budget

You may be on a tight budget, but you also owe it to yourself to have something nice occasionally. Following are some good, sensible ways you can treat yourself without breaking the bank.

Buy an Affordable New Car

You may think that buying a new car at a place like hoffmanlincoln.com is going to be expensive, but it can actually be very reasonable. First, you can investigate factory and dealer incentives that can shave down the price considerably. You can also make a larger down payment and lower your monthly payments by a considerable margin. When you take a few basic steps, getting a sensibly priced new car will save you a ton of money on maintenance and still be reasonably inexpensive every month.

Get an Auto-manicure

Some people love to get manicures and pedicures, but in some cases these are either impractical or too expensive. Even guys can enjoy having the hand massage that comes along with having nails and cuticles tended to. However, you can spare yourself some money (and the awkward feeling of emasculation) by
learning how to do them for yourself. All you have to do is check out a library book or look online for resources about reflexology, which is the study of how to massage using pressure points.

Use Coupons for Tasty Food

Coupons are often a fun way to shop for splurge items. First, you can use your coupons to buy the kinds of foods that you might not otherwise get to enjoy. Beyond that, you can use coupons to enjoy more of the foods you love. So instead of limiting your portions to a significant extent, you can indulge and
eat as much as you want.

Granted, you don’t have to become gluttonous just because you can. You can also use your coupons to keep an “emergency fund” for food and other essentials. Much like having a hefty amount in your savings account, there are few things in life more comfortable and confidence inspiring than having a few
weeks’ worth of food items that you’re in no immediate hurry to eat. You can even use your overage as a way to experiment with recipes that may or may not work out. If all else fails, you certainly won’t go hungry.

Look Into Rewards Programs

Rewards programs are a good way to live a richer style life. While some people think these programs barely offer anything of value, you often can get movie tickets, deep discounts on meals at great restaurants, event tickets, and even upgrades to all kinds of different venues. When you join a rewards
program, sometimes you get a few gifts just for joining. Often you’ll get something on your birthday and during holidays. From there, you can rack up points for making purchases that roll into more rewards. It can become an addictive little hobby.

You don’t have to go on a crazy spending spree to have a nice treat. If you’re trying to stay within a certain budget, you just need to be prudent and exercise some common sense.

Mother’s Day Gifts From Romwe

romwe

Do you remember the gifts you ever gave to your mom? Which one was the most memorable? Which one did your mom love best? When I was a little girl, I always kept bothering mom for telling a fairy tale of prince and princess. And I have ever impudently cried to mom just for the beautiful dolls displayed in the showcase.

However, what I like mostly was to walk up and down before the mirror wearing mom’s red high-heeled shoes. It made me excited all the time.

Time flies, I went to a strange city to realize my dream when I grew up, but I was always touched by mom’s endless care through telephone.

Until one day when mom told me about her new hair style and new dress, I just found she was not only my mom but also the most beautiful woman I have ever seen, but I seldom prepared any beautiful clothes for her.

Mother’s Day is coming! What will you prepare for your mom?

Have you ever think of wear the same clothes with your mom? Want to make people believe that you are sisters when walking around the street?

Go there to find your family fitted clothing: http://www.romwe.com/

Up to 70% off and a mystery gift!

Amazon Filler Item: An Easy Way to Get Free Super Saver Shipping

filleritem

If you’re a regular Amazon.com shopper, you know how great their free “Super Saver Shipping” can be. Just fill your cart with $25 worth of qualifying items, and your order ships for free! How simple is that?

But, this bargain is a double-edged sword. Because more often than not, you wind up with almost $25 worth of stuff in your cart and then have to make the decision: Are you just going to fork over the shipping cost, or is it worth adding an item to your cart that’s way more than the $1.97 you need to qualify for free shipping? Wouldn’t that basically cancel out any money you’d be saving?

Well, lucky for us, there’s a site that solves this frugalista’s dilemma: Amazon Filler Item Finder.

Amazon Filler Item Finder does exactly what you could spend hours trying unsuccessfully to do by running random item searches — it finds you items that qualify for the Free Super Saver Shipping discount and are exactly (or very close to) the remaining amount you need to qualify.

Let’s say that you do need a measly $1.97. What could you possibly find for that little? Well, just plug that amount into Amazon Filler Item Finder, and you’ll get a list of items that qualify for free shipping that are in that general range. (The items I saw when I entered this amount ranged from $1.97 to $2.78.)

Some of these items are admittedly throwaways—there’s often a lot of random DIY supplies like a single cabinet knob or random pipe fittings. But, if you scan the list, there are also plenty of things that you could actually use, like kitchen utensils, washcloths, stickers for your kids, discount DVDs and pet treats.

If you just take a few minutes to scan the list Amazon Filler Item generates for you, you’re likely to find something that wouldn’t go to waste in your house. So you’ve picked up an item you’d probably buy sometime anyway, and you now qualify for Free Super Saver Shipping without having to buy some random impulse purchase from your Wish List that completely nullifies your savings.

Not a bad deal, if I do say so myself.

3 Fun Ways to Reward Your Softball Team for a Great Year

Is the high school softball season drawing to an end? These occasions often call for pizza parties and teary-eyed goodbyes but an exceptional year deserves an extra special treat. This quick guide will cover three untraditional, inexpensive season-end gifts that will ensure your team never forgets the memories they made on the field.

Special Gifts for Stellar Softball Teams

The goal is to choose an affordable gift that speaks volumes in sentimentality. Students often forge the strongest bonds through sports, and the mementos they collect from these important experiences often become treasured heirlooms. The following three gifts are just ideas – use the time you spent coaching and mentoring your team to inspire your search.

1. Commemorative T-Shirts

Sure, kids love to keep hold of those worn-out jerseys but those fraying relics are often best kept in some sort of shadowbox or memory chest. By providing commemorative t-shirts, you are giving the kids something to wear out and about. Spirited sports fans love to show their team spirit. Check out some popular custom t-shirt designs for inspiration. Make matching shirts for everyone or invest in something special for each teammate. Nicknames and team logos make for great custom t-shirt designs.

Other customizable options include baseball caps, sports bags, even softball gear. Small items like water bottles and wrist bands are some ideas to consider if you are working on a limited budget.

2. Photo Album Kit

Did your parent supporters take a lot of pictures this year? Did you snap a few good ones yourself? Scrapbooks are cheap and make great gifts – especially along with CDs containing the digital photos taken throughout the year. Your team can print off the ones they want to put in their scrapbooks. They can also add any ribbons, invitations, and awards they won throughout the season.

If you wanted to make a huge impression, you could leave a handwritten note inside each scrapbook. Let them know how proud you are and wish the team good luck in their future athletic endeavors. This personalized touch works great for any commemorative gift on the list.

3. Softball Party Favors

An end-of-season party is a much-anticipated tradition in any high school league. Giving out any of the gifts on this list would be a great way to wrap up the celebration to end it on a high note but maybe you want to add some party favors, or perhaps you cannot afford a big gift and want to reward the team with small treats.

Anything from bracelet charms to framed team photos make quick, inexpensive gifts that are sure to keep those treasured memories fresh in the minds of your team. Small novelty trophies are another popular option and very inexpensive to order in bulk.

Are you excited about wrapping up another great season? Sending your team off with fun gifts is a great way to make sure that the season ends on a happy note. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to make a lasting impression – be candid, be sentimental, and let your young athletes know that there are many more good times ahead of them.

7 Foolproof Shopping Tricks for Avoiding Impulse Buys

Impulse buys seem like fun until you balance your account at the end of the month. Rather than regretting the purchases you make, just change your spending habits. A few easy tricks will keep your money safely in your wallet.

Put Yourself on a Time Limit

If you’re about to make an impulse buy, step back. Step away from the computer or leave the store. Give yourself an hour, a day, a month—whatever time limit feels right. Give yourself time to think. During your waiting period, if your life isn’t lacking or negatively affected, you’re dealing with an item you don’t really need.

Don’t Let Your Emotions Rule Your Wallet

A lot of impulse buys occur when you’re angry, upset, lonely, or sad. Emotional buying, like emotional eating, is extremely unhealthy. It affects your mental health, your well-being, and your finances. Resist the urge to shop when you’re feeling exceptionally emotional. Come back when things are calmer and decide on your purchase.

Avoid Certain Stores and Sections

Store owners are smart. At super markets, you traditionally have to go through all the junk food to get to the healthy foods, then get past all those candies and gadgets at the checkout. In boutiques, music stores, and bookstores, there are colorful displays pushing the items the store really wants to sell. Avoid those areas unless you legitimately need something. You should also avoid stores where you’re tempted to over-spend.

Make a List and Stick to It

Making a list is the oldest shopping trick in the book for a reason: it works. No matter where you’re shopping, online or off, make a list and don’t deviate from it. If you’re holiday shopping, lists are even more important. As an added trick, estimate how much money you’ll need for the items on your list and take just enough cash to pay for them.

Stop Storing Your Info

It’s easy to impulse shop over the Internet. Online shops make it easy by letting you store your credit card information, so you get to indulge in one-click shopping. That gives you no time to think about what you’re doing. When you shop online, don’t store your billing information. Typing in your card number gives you more time to think.

Audition Your Shopping Buddies

6601627723_ba04a802a2Image via Flickr by smileham

Do you often shop with friends? Do you find yourself spending more when you do? If you have shopaholic friends or feel the need to keep up with well-to-do pals, stop shopping with them. It’s not a competition and if it leads you to spend more, it’s not worth it.

Don’t Believe the Sales

8044684803_001aabae89Image via Flickr by friends.sfpl

“Rather than believing a sale, do your research. Retailers often over price items and then announce sales, but you’re actually paying just a little less than retail price. Before running to the next big sale, try to learn about comparison shopping by checking out different places or visiting various shopping sites online. Learn the truth before spending your cash.
Don’t get impulsive; stop playing fast and loose with your money. What do you do to avoid those tempting impulse buys?”

Creative Ideas

Few months ago we celebrated a pecan festival in our place and there are vendors who sell their handmade stuffs in that festival. I found the stuff above interesting. Imagine a Bible form as an angel. I am not sure if this is really hard to make but its cool and unique. She was very proud of her work and I believe she really has a talent. Those skills really unique and amazing but for me I will not use the bible but other books.
