Last Christmas Chris and Nathan got some gifts from friends and from us also. They gather quite gifts and they enjoyed playing with it. Nathan have fun with his musical book and he already wear his jean jacket. At first he was fascinated with his car that lights on if you push a button. Both kids receive lots of gifts but they already played some of it and already broke hehehe. But at least they enjoyed what they received. I am also happy since i gather/received some gifts from friends, hubby, and from my kids. My sister-in law sent us a box of goodies and until now Chris still eating some of it. Anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

During Christmas i decided to send some money for the people of our place specially those who really need some help. Last 2009 i started the "FOOD FOR CHRISTMAS" and we gave 40 families that time. But this year since the money that i collected reached to $200, there are 69 families who received the foods. People are very happy receiving those foods and they are very thankful. I am grateful for the people who share their blessings to other. Yesterday we visited to a friend's house for a get together. We have so much fun and we stayed for many hours in their house. We are talking about carpet because only the kitchen that do not have carpet. Same way at our house we have carpet in all rooms and only our kitchen is different. I wanted to have a party in our house but we are shy to do so since we still need the carpet cleaners cary nc because our carpet is really dirty even we already clean good. I guess maybe because those carpets are very old and they need replacement but we cannot do that this time. we do not have the budget yet of that thing but hopefully we can get someone to clean for us. Yesterday morning a friend of mine invited us to visit another Filipino one hour from the house. I am happy for that because i can go out of the house and spend some time to my friends. A close friend pick me up with my two sons. We spent from 11am to 9pm at night. What we did in there just eat, chit chat, spending time with new friends, and have a good time singing in a karaoke. The foods above are the one we got yesterday. Anyway, i look forward to spend together with my friends.
Last week we went to the mall to buy some gifts and also tried to walk in the mall. Chris saw a riding car and we let Chris and Nathan ride together. They have a lots of fun while riding. How are you today? Merry Christmas To all from my family to yours. We attended a Christmas party with my fellow Filipino. Everybody brought gifts to everybody and i am happy for what we got. We also tried to wrap many gifts for our friends and family. As you can see in the picture below, there are many gifts under the tree. I still have more gifts that i ordered online that never arrive yet. Hopefully before new year i receive those things. My son was really excited for his gifts. Hubby told him that we will open our gifts December 25 after breakfast. I am very excited too because i have some gifts from hubby, my sons, friends and sister-in law. Last November i bought this wallet from Nomorerack and thought of giving this to hubby but when hubby saw it and tried to put his cards inside the wallet he told me that i will give this to someone else since his stuffs cannot fit in that wallet. So i wrapped it and put it under our Christmas tree. We decided to give it to the hubby of my friend his name is Joe. Hubby and I are talking about our swimming at the back yard of our house. He said that maybe next year we will make our swimming pool working and use it. Since i came last 2005 that swimming was not working because hubby said there are many materials needed to run the swimming pool again. If the swimming pool will operates again we might get a swimming pool safety net because we have two kids and we want to make sure they are safe from that pool. Last Saturday Mr Ervie one of the faculty in Chris school gave us the pictures of Chris during their school picture taking. When he hand me the pictures he said that girls in the school love Chris picture since he looks sharp. Well, a combination of Filipino-American is really a good match am i right? I am flattered when he said that and i feel like saying something but i just simply smile. I admit since Chris was a little baby everybody thought that he will be a good looking guy. Maybe since he looks like my grandpa who was a mestizo Spanish then his daddy is an American then myself is a Filipino then he got the looks.:) Anyway, even your kid is ugly as can be or handsome for a mom your kid is always handmade or cute for you, am i correct mom?
It is time to share our blessings to others. Please we will help the victims of storm Sendong in the Northern part of the Philippines specially Cagayan De Oro City. There are now more than 500 people died and more than 400 missing. Many people lost their homes and there are many who are in need of food, clothing and shelter. It is time of the year to celebrate Christmas, are you excited? How are you today? I am excited because i will see my friends in the party. Tonight we will have a church Christmas party in one of the members of the church. I already make some desserts that i promise to bring in the party. I make carrot/pineapple/coconut cake and a Filipino delicacy maja blanca with corn kernel & nuts. I suppose to make a Filipino Vegetable Egg roll but got lazy after the two desserts done so maybe next time.:) Anyway, for my entry today with the theme joy as you can see in that first picture its the Christmas lights outside our house. That is our front door i put some garlands and lights. At night time looks very beautiful and feel like crying since i miss my mam, papa and the whole family in the Philippines. In the second picture, i took that last Thursday night during the play of the school where my son was. He was the one who welcome everybody, then he change his clothes and become a cat, then the last character was one of the three kings. My son was the one in black with a crown. It last more than one hour and everybody was enjoyed the play since its musical. Have a wonderful week.
Life is so short we did not know when it will end. Many people are trying their best to be healthy, do the right thing but if its our time to go then we do not have any choice but go. Well, i am talking like that because few years ago i almost died and this is my second chance to be with my family. I plan to get a life insurance for myself in case something happened to me my family will not suffer from any burial expenses. This is not a good thing to say but life must go on if we are gone our love ones will not have a burden. I search many times online before if where i can find a life insurance company that i can trust. The company that the rate is not expensive nor very cheap. Well, from looking everywhere i conclude that finding a life insurance company and asking a free quote its so easy! Hubby told me that i need to be practical and not sentimental. So with that i will get that life insurance very soon.

A few years ago my mom got sick, so I had to move back to Durham to help her out and take care of my little brother. I hadn’t lived at home in a while, and it was definitely a tough adjustment. I missed my all of my friends and my old job in New York City, but I knew I had to be there for my family when they needed me. When I arrived in Durham my mom’s prognosis wasn’t very good, and she kept on complaining about our new neighbors. I didn’t want her to be stressed about anything since I knew it couldn’t be good for her health. The neighbors moved in a few months before I came home and there was some pretty suspicious activity going on. They constantly had shady people coming in and out of their house and it really worried us. I finally got sick of being scared and searched durham Home Security to see what we could do. My Nathan is getting bigger everyday. He is now 10 months old and almost ready to walk. A few times he tried to walk inside his crib. I am surprise he did it since he was just 9 months old when he did it. Now that he is 10 mos. he is not scared of standing but still i am happy that he is trying to walk. Nathan is a sweet little baby wanting to explore. I noticed he likes to dance and if he hears a music then he started to wiggle and smile. Time flies so fast that our kids grow fast each day. They will not stay babies but they will grow to be a man. :(

Since i was a little girl i really like to own a business and even graduate either a CPA or business management. But instead i took education when i was in college.
