Do you know what is the use of radar detector? As a new driver i never knew what the use of this so i tried to find some information from people i know and read some online. According to what i learn this is a good gadget for someone who do not want to go over speeding. I will give you an example of my hubby. Hubby is a kind of person that does not like speeding. He always drive the speed limit or less that sometimes people tend to blow their horn just to let him drive faster than the speed limit. One time we went for a vacation going to Georgia. I did not drive yet so there are times that he got tired of driving that i saw the speed going up. I always tell him to slow down so that we will not have a ticket. Then we pass at South Carolina and because he was tired he forgot to change the speed limit to from 65mph to 55mph. The police saw him doing that through his radar. The police stopped us and ask why he was speeding. He told him that it's his mistake and he just got tired. The police look at him and examine if he tells the truth then he left us. We are worried because we do not want a ticket specially your insurance will goes up. But thank God nothing happened but before the police left he said do not do it again.
