How are you today my friends? Well, it is below freezing here in our place. It was snowing since last week till yesterday. Hubby wears so many clothes to keep him warm while working inside a coal tunnel. My son also enjoying the company of kids in the playground. Anyway, my entry was a picture taken when we are rooming around the city where we stayed. There are some lights that we saw and i took some. It was very cold and snowing that time. How about you how's your weekend?

Blue Monday is 'a Monday regarded as a depressing workday in contrast to the relaxation of the weekend' -- people feel "blue" at having to go back to work. However, I've found two other, older meanings. It can also be the Monday before Lent which is, of course, the day before Mardi Gras, a famous time of overindulgence before the deprivations of Lent. One source suggests that everything has a blue tinge as a result of this dissipation. That would apply also to the other meaning suggested by the OED: 'a Monday spent in dissipation by workmen'. German also has the expression "blauer Montag," which refers to the fact that more people call in sick on Monday than on other days of the week.
